Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary objective of the BehaviourGuide CBT courses?

  • How long will it take me to complete the certification program?

  • The program is designed as a 10 weeks bootcamp. Each week, you'll be introduced to new modules, making it a total of 10 modules. There will be an assessment afterwards leading to certification.

  • What can I expect each month during the certification program?

Each month, you are assigned specific modules to enhance your learning experience. To solidify your understanding, you are encouraged to practice the concepts covered in these modules either solo, with an empty chair, or using a teddy bear as a stand-in client. This practice should mimic a stage rehearsal, where you verbally articulate what you have learned as if explaining or applying these concepts to real clients. Should you face any difficulties or have queries during your practice, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on our exclusive Facebook group. We're here to offer potential solutions and assist you in overcoming any challenges you might encounter.

  • Is BehaviourGuide® Programs fully online?

  • Yes, the courses on the BehaviourGuide® Institute is entirely online. You can access the program from any device and location. Given that many of our participants have full-time commitments, we've ensured the content is pre-recorded. This allows you to engage with the material at your convenience and pace.

  • Where can I seek help if I have questions or face difficulties?

We understand that questions and challenges are a natural part of the learning process. To support you, we've created a dedicated Facebook community. Here, you can post your questions, either using your name or anonymously. Our team, along with the community, will help clarify any doubts to the best of our abilities.

What happens after I complete all the ten modules?

After completing all ten modules, you need to conduct a CBT session with a client (this can be a mock session). Record this session and send us the audio recording for assessment. We will evaluate the quality and implementation of CBT using CTS-R domains within two weeks after your submission. Based on our evaluation, we will provide you with feedback:

  1. 1. If you pass: You will automatically receive your certificate within 30 days.

  2. 2. If you fail: You will need to resubmit another client session audio for reassessment.

  • Who is this Certification Program for?

If you're a psychologist, therapist, or counsellor, our BehaviourGuide® CBT Certification is tailored for you. It's an excellent way to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you stay at the forefront of CBT practices as part of your Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

However, it's important to note that this program is not designed to enable individuals from non-mental health professions (like plumbers, homeopaths, engineers, or physicians) to practice CBT on patients.

The reason is simple: practicing CBT requires specific background training and understanding that professionals in psychology, therapy, and counselling receive.

  • Do I get access to the course materials after the course ends?

  • We offer a lifetime access to all the course videos and PDFs, allowing you to revisit the content whenever you need.

  • I work full-time, is this certification program for me?

If you have any questions about the program, encounter difficulties enrolling, face issues with payment, or simply have feedback to share, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to hear from you!
